Being fresh out of the military, I had no idea about benefits or resources. Luckily, I met a VA representative who insisted I file for VA compensation and benefits. I had no idea I could and, at that point, I made it my mission to always ask and connect as many veterans to resources as I could, to make them aware of benefits earned!
